A Heartwarming History of LEGO: Gotta-See Video
Boys and girls alike tend to enjoy making their imaginations reality. For me, LEGO was one way I could create pirate battles and knights on parade. Now, looking back, I can say my imagination was built by LEGO bricks but who built the LEGO bricks in the first place?
In this 80th Anniversary celebration video, LEGO explains the history of its little plastic pieces. They open long before the brick with a toymaker in the 1930s and work all the way up to Legoland and retail stores. The story is a bit long, but it's heartwarming, especially if you have fond memories of the creations wrought from LEGO bricks growing up.
Fun Fact: The plural of LEGO is not LEGOs but LEGO bricks. The word LEGO comes from the Danish expression leg godt, meaning "play well."
